When I knew I was definitely going to visit Canada, I emailed Kathryn Rose, whose new solo album was due to come out. I was hoping to get a signed copy which I picked up last monday from her managements office. So far I really like Yellow knife & Low Flying Bird and that after one listen in the car. She also keeps a blog for those interested, it was a great read while she was on the road with Sarah during the 1st leg of the Afterglow Tour. But aside from tour updates she has many tales to tell.

Rushing my way out of here

If you can't find me the next week or so.... I will be away in Canada... surprise surprise!! Booked a last minute today. Work was ok, landlady whose cats I was supposed to look after because she would go away for 3 days to Venice is ok, we found a new cat victim! And most importantly my host Amanda, is looking forward to it. It would have been nice if she could have visited here, but so far that doesnt seem to be a possibility. I have some shopping planned, and a hair dress appointment, cuz her cousin works in a hairdresser. And just a face to face catch up session. Having some fun after some stressful periods. Keep u posted!

Got a parcel from Michael M. a guy I met via Sarah McLachlans fanclub who flew over from Perth Australia for the gig in Vancouver BC last Sept 2004. He included some photos of a trip we took to Vancouver Island, I love it there! So here are a few of the photos he took.

Butterfly

Inside a shopping centre in Honolulu, there was a curtain of these butterflies hanging from the ceiling. Kind of the only thing that I found interesting... Well besides the food court :) I am not the clothes shopping type.

I flew in from Sydney to Honolulu, practically gaining a whole day because of the time difference. My friend arrived a few hours later from Toronto via Dallas. Then 2 weeks of sun, fun, beach, snorkelling, swimming, tanning, shopping, sightseeing and tropical food and lots of chats followed. A great trip!

Opera house photo shoot

Sydney Opera House 08 August 2004... 5 days before I left Australia.....My photo shoot together with my German room mate Simone. I wanted to get the Hat and the Opera House in a different light.

Highlight of my Sarah tour! I met her after the show in Melbourne and got that photo developped. When I saw her again in London, she signed the photo!!!
