Flying visit

My friend Deborah @ Trafalgar Square. Posted by Hello

My friend Deborah who I have known for about 14 years came over this past weekend for 2 days. I live a bit far from London for commuting so I booked a nice hotel for 2 nights in Liverpool St. Due to the bad weather in Holland she arrived a bit later than expected and so the first night instead of going out (the pubs were already closed) we had a few drinks from the mini bar... and caught up talking till 3.30AM.

The next day we enjoyed the beautiful view from the breakfast table over Central London and took off for the city. We walked on Oxford Street, Regent St, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Embankment, Covent Garden, Soho, Chinatown and back to the hotel! I seemed to be the real tourist as Deb impressed everyone with her British accent and me taking photos all the time! Lots of drinking stops, and met up with a few friends as well. Peking Duck was on the menu, which is apparently much better in London than in the Netherlands! It was very cold though, the wind was uncompromising.

The next day we went to Knightsbridge, as the Underground had so many delays and rail work, it seemed the only place almost we could go to. Didnt make it far. Stayed at Harvey Nichols 5th Floor bar just catching up and chatting. We do stay in touch, but in person there is so much more to discuss it seems!

Her visit was only 2 days unfortunately but great to spend some time and hang out again. Enjoy a few of the photos!
